Job Description
Hours: Monday-Thursday 3:45pm-2:15am
Job Summary: This position is accountable for performing punching & manufacturing operations and activities. It also includes demonstrating core competencies regarding safety, quality, productivity and behavior.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Level 1
- Basic starting, stopping, operating a machine already set up and Blue Tape Approved
- Ensure proper counts.
- Assure properly labeled.
- Follow safety requirements & understand the danger zones within the environment.
- All Level 1 skills
- Managing tool storage and locating system
- Assembling required punch and dies, which include form tools, taps, countersinks, along with standard tooling.
- Loading tooling on rail, positioning strategically for proper optimization.
- Setting up and operating Trumpf Tru Punch 5000 turret with Sheet Master.
- Once running production, make necessary adjustments to ensure equipment is at full efficiency.
- All Level 1 and 2 skills
- Developing and disciplining tool storage and locating system.
- Maintaining spare parts and consumables unique to Trumpf’s.
- Inspect the first part using Inspect vision scanner & manually checking forms countersinks, part marking, etc. to proper requirements.
- Properly record production into ERP system, ensure material is back flushing properly & move & record final wip location.
- Perform weekly PMs on machines.

Qualification Requirements
:
Knowledge & ability to efficiently use ERP systems.
Ability to use automation within the cell, material tower, sheet loading, scrap unloading, stacking & packaging requirements for final product.
Frequent & sustained walking frequently.
Bending frequently.
Lift-carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience setting up & running turrets in a sheet metal production environment.
Skills
:
Basic math.
Troubleshooting.
Familiar with various tools to make repairs as needed within the Tru Punch cell.
Computer skills within the cell, access Tool Lists, Tool Order requests, using MECR process to request change to make job more efficient.
