Job Overview

McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of refuse truck bodies, is looking for skilled welders to join our production team at Dodge Center, MN.

Responsibilities
  • Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, plasma cutter, or other welding equipment.
  • Properly position material and parts to be welded.
  • Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place.
  • Adjust welding current to proper weld configurations.
  • Accurately operate and read measuring devices.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and 6S standards.
  • Follow all safe procedures in assembling and testing models/products in assigned job functions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Passed weld test through pre‑employment or internal weld program.
  • Ability to start and run a welder.
  • Effectively perform job tasks within one station with minimal quality defects or guidance.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt welding techniques.
  • High school diploma or GED (not required).
  • 6 months of applicable position experience.
  • Understanding of quality defects within weld‑on products.
  • Ability to read and use measuring devices.
Desired (Standout) Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with plasma and carbon‑arc welding.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality inspection and defect identification.
