Location: Two Harbors, MN, US, 55616
Work Type (Onsite): This position will be based onsite at our Two Harbors, MN facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.
$1,200 sign-on bonus!
Responsibilities:- Perform GMAW/MIG/Wire feed welding to AWS D1.1 standards
- Execute standard work and tasks common in a production welding environment following LaBounty procedures, quality, and safety policies
- Layout, fit‑up, measure, and tack weldments
- Arc air welding (experience beneficial, will train)
- Use PPE and adhere to all safety programs and policies
- Communicate fully with supervisor(s) and coworker(s)
- Assist in documenting standard work procedures and provide feedback and suggestions to continuously improve manufacturing processes
- Close out shop orders and follow production schedule to facilitate timely part delivery/availability
- Maintain a safe and organized work area, including end‑of‑shift clean‑up in accordance with 5S standards
- Perform autonomous maintenance for daily equipment functionality
- This is a safety‑sensitive position; PPE is required at all times
The salary for this position is between $22.00 and $29.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
Knowledge &Education:
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of basic weld symbols on blueprints
- Basic computer skills, MS‑Office:
Windows, Excel, Word & Outlook - Comfortable and knowledgeable use of standard repair and hand tools
- Able to use a tape measure, level, angle finders and squares
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures and directions
- Ability to handle all materials safely using a Jib hoist, overhead crane, and forklifts, including lifting devices (chains, straps, slings)
- An eye for detail and precision
- Ability to operate all welding equipment if assigned
- Continuous standing and walking
- Intermittent bending/twisting, pushing/pulling, climbing, lifting/lowering. Intermittent use of hand/wrist
- Ability to safely handle materials using cranes, hoists, forklifts, chains, and slings is required
