SupplyChain Supervisor
The Supply Chain Supervisor will oversee the day–to–day operations of a production function for our Bloomington, MN facility. They will be responsible for plant purchasing, inventory needs, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies. Ideal candidates must be able to work regularly at our Bloomington, MN facility.
RoleResponsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates activities of buyers and planners/schedulers in expediting the flow of materials, parts and assemblies. Scheduling the production operations is also a possibility.
- Evaluates data such as job orders, product specifications, operations sheets, materials inventory lists, etc.
- Establishes efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines and sequences of operations and workflow.
- Manages inventory by owning the cycle count process. This includes evaluating the accuracy of records and inventory locations.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
- Works with all plant departments to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
- Conducts meetings with suppliers.
- Provides information and instruction to departments to ensure employees have information required to perform their duties.
- Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Supervises cost reduction projects working with suppliers, engineering, production and Corporate to achieve results.
- Handles errors and complaints by working with department and customer to ensure they are adjusted and resolved.
- Establishes procedures for production control activities.
- Provides training to support established procedures.
- Assigns duties and reviews work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Support management in efforts to transfer product between plants as needed. Support the Life Sciences business with product and supplier development activities.
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years of Supply Chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Supervisory or lead experience
- Oracle or other ERP systems
- APICS certification
Annual Salary Range: $78,400 - $100,900 annually. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
