As the Production Leader
, you will report directly to the Production Manager or Supervisor. You will take on more advanced responsibilities including supervising day-to-day production operations, leading a team of technicians, troubleshooting complex machinery issues and maintaining high standards of production efficiency and quality. This role requires leadership skills, the ability to make critical decisions, and a passion for continuous improvement.
3rd Shift: 9:00PM – 1:30AM
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Supervise: Oversee and guide the production team, ensuring all processes run smoothly and according to plan.
- Machine Operations: Troubleshoot, operate and set up complex filling and packaging machinery to optimize production and minimize downtime.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure products meet stringent quality standards and cGMP regulations. Conduct routine inspections, address any issues immediately and ensure compliance with FDA and inventory policies.
- Production Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation for production processes, including batch records and equipment logs, to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Team Training & Development: Provide training and mentoring to new technicians, ensuring team members understand and follow established procedures. Promote skill development and cross‑training within the team.
- Safety & Maintenance: Uphold safety standards in the workplace, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols. Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for production as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with leadership to identify areas for process optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and product quality.

Experience:
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a production or manufacturing environment. - Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent documentation skills, ensuring all records are accurate, clear and comply with industry standards.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable lifting 20-40 pounds frequently and maintaining a fast‑paced work ethic.
- High School Diploma or GED: A minimum education requirement, with a willingness to develop skills further.
- Teamwork & Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, share knowledge and communicate production needs and challenges clearly.
- Industry
Experience:
Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or food production environment, particularly with FDA‑compliant facilities. - Forklift Certification: A plus, but not required.
- Technical Expertise: Mechanical training or experience, especially in packaging machinery or continuous improvement processes.
- Leadership Potential: Drive to contribute positively to the team and take on a leadership role with a proactive attitude.
