Machine Operator – Cable Print & Spooler – Weekend

- Safely operate the cable print machine for manufacturing cable products while conforming to the quality requirements.
- Understand the job orders and interact with Epicor.
- Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
- Understand, complete, and maintain all required paperwork for the operation including entering data into Epicor—daily production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, etc.
- Maintain and operate hand tools necessary to set up, take apart, and operate the equipment.
- Perform required quality control checks and inspections to assure the product being manufactured meets required specifications.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience in machine operation or mechanical ability & aptitude to understand how manufacturing equipment works together in a line to produce high quality products.
- 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma.
- Technical secondary education is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and accurate data entry experience for receiving and issuing products.
- Perform simple mathematics to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc. and to keep accurate account of materials used during manufacturing process including scrap amounts.
- Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required.
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection.
