Machine Operator – Cable Print & Spooler – Weekend

• Safely operate the cable print machine for manufacturing cable products while conforming to the quality requirements.
• Understand the job orders and interact with Epicor.
• Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
• Understand, complete, and maintain all required paperwork for the operation including entering data into Epicor—daily production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, etc.
• Maintain and operate hand tools necessary to set up, take apart, and operate the equipment.
• Perform required quality control checks and inspections to assure the product being manufactured meets required specifications.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of experience in machine operation or mechanical ability & aptitude to understand how manufacturing equipment works together in a line to produce high quality products.
• 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma.
• Technical secondary education is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and accurate data entry experience for receiving and issuing products.
• Perform simple mathematics to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc. and to keep accurate account of materials used during manufacturing process including scrap amounts.
• Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required.
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection.
