General Sanitor
Full‑time position located in Kerry’s warehouse environment. The General Sanitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across the plant.

About the RoleThe primary functions of the General Sanitor are to wipe down equipment and perform master sanitation duties according to a scheduled plan.
Work ScheduleShifts:
Monday‑Friday or Sunday‑Thursday, 8‑hour days with voluntary and mandatory overtime as needed. Shifts can be 1st (6:30am–3pm), 2nd (2:30pm–11pm) or 3rd (10:30pm–7am). Lunch breaks include a 20‑minute paid break and a 30‑minute unpaid break.
- Learn and execute sanitation tasks on the master schedule.
- Clean and scrub floors; sweep and mop floor areas.
- Clean foot mats, drains, electric pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, floor scales, lift tables, animal feed area, eye‑wash stations, water drink stations, chemical cage, and related equipment.
- Complete tasks at the prescribed frequency or as delegated.
- Work with cleaning chemicals while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Perform dry cleaning as needed.
- Use lifts or other equipment for certain duties, when required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
- Must be capable of working on lifts when needed.
- Must be able to work as a team player.
The role requires sitting, standing, walking, using hands for handling, gripping, reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Frequent lifting of up to 50lb alone, 100lb with assistance. Working in a warehouse setting with temperatures that may reach above 90°F during summer. Exposure to cleaning chemicals, flour dust, and other ingredients.
Compensation & BenefitsHourly pay: $17.34 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) plan with company contributions, an Employee Share Plan, life, disability and accident insurance.
