Manufacturing & Industrial Operations, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Responsibilities
- Perform minor layout work, drilling, and tapping
- Remove small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts
- Align components, and bolts, screws, and rivets them together
- Assemble sub-assemblies per drawing and/or work instructions with supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the workstation ready for work at the start of the shift
- High School/GED required
- 1-2 years experience in manufacturing or a job shop environment preferred
- Able to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and able to apply basic geometry concepts
- Ability to read and understand prints and schematics
- Ability to use small hand‑power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32‑inch increments
- Able to use Microsoft Office Applications
- Physical demands: stand, walk, carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk up stairs, and crouch. Ability to communicate through speaking and hearing
