Job Overview

Martin Luther Care Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care and Long Term Care). This role provides hands‑on care and support services for our senior patients at our spacious care center in Bloomington, MN.

This patient support position includes:

• 56 hours every two weeks
• Evening shift – evening shift differential pay
• Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday rotations
• Full benefits package offered

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus, is located in East Bloomington, MN near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, the center offers 137 units across Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care. • Assist residents based on individual care plans with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responding to call lights.
• Check and record vitals as part of the community patient care model.
• Provide AM/PM/NOC cares, including peri‑care and catheter care.
• Turn, lift, or transfer residents with or without assistance or mechanical aids.
• Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff clearly and concisely.
• Chart or document in electronic medical record system.
• Seek to resolve resident and family concerns.
• Receive and give reports to appropriate staff during various times in the work shift.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, report malfunctioning equipment to maintenance, and answer phones in a timely manner.

Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date – or‑ Individual who is hired into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer’s Pre‑CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4‑month post‑hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

• Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
• Communicate efficiently, with compassion and understanding for residents and coworkers.
• Experience working as an HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, or Resident Assistant.
• Work experience in a customer‑service setting.
