Position: LPN - UP TO 2,000

Overview

The facility consistently achieves quality Department of Health Surveys and has won several quality awards over the years. The campus provides independent living, assisted living, memory care, long term care and the largest Transitional Care Unit in the state. Scheduling is done using block scheduling which provides the employee a consistent, repeating schedule every two weeks, with some flexibility for school attendance.

Duties
  • Perform nursing tasks to assure resident needs are met, including monitoring resident needs, condition and care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician; order and receive medications from the pharmacy; admit and discharge residents.
  • Oversee TMA/NAR staff; ensure narcotic policy and procedures are followed; report changes of condition to RN/Supervisor and physician as delegated.
  • Monitor for side effects of medication and report PRN; ensure care plans are followed.
  • Transcribe and execute physician orders; complete required documentation; complete fall reporting; report any bruises, skin tears and abuse/neglect.
  • Provide report to nursing staff; follow and uphold Resident Bill of Rights and facility policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to all residents, families, visitors, MDs, and coworkers.
Qualifications
  • LPN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Desire to work with the elderly and those in transition.
  • Maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
