As a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner, you will be at the heart of diagnosing, managing, and coordinating care for patients presenting with pain in the inpatient setting —while working alongside some of the most respected neuroscience physicians in the Midwest.

* Provide inpatient pain management consultations, manage acute and chronic pain conditions, and support post-surgical care.
* Practice independently as the sole pain Nurse Practitioner at United Hospital with the benefit of support from colleagues across the system who are just a phone call away.
* Opportunities to engage in tele-pain consults at Allina's three metro hospitals.
* Average census of 10 to 14 patients per day split between providing new patient consults and rounding on follow-up patients

* Job Description:

** Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team in accordance with the designated specialty. Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.

** Principle Responsibilities
