Beauty Counter Manager - Dries Van Noten - Mall of America

Nordstrom Beauty Department seeks a Beauty Counter Manager to create personalized beauty experiences. You'll be part salesperson, part teacher, maximizing sales in the assigned beauty brand while building a customer following both in‑store and digitally.

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses, and recommend products based on customers’ beauty goals.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals utilizing in‑store and digital tools.
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results.
• Keep department customer‑ready through organization and cleanliness.
• Keep up with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training.
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift — frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Handle bulky and awkward items, lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Hourly: $22.60 – $23.50. Commission varies by merchandise sold; typical ranges 3%–14.5% for apparel, shoes, accessories. Beauty and Men’s Fragrance roles receive 3% commission.
