Health Parnters is hiring an Account Manager, Occupational Medicine. The Occupational Medicine Account Manager is responsible for selling Occupational Medicine products and services (i.e. Industrial, Worker's Compensation and On-site services), maintaining effective customer/prospect relations with all clients and ensuring that Occupational Medicine customers achieve desired results. This includes new sales and renewals. Responsible for developing mutually beneficial partnerships with brokers and other partners in the Occupational Medicine industry.

This position is also responsible for the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies that grow the Occupational Medicine business.

Accountabilities

1. Responsible for new sales for Occupational Medicine products and services.

  • Devises a targeted sales strategy
  • Researches and identifies key prospects
  • Meets specified sales net growth goals
  • Responsible for sales reporting and tracking
  • Actively participates in industry events as appropriate to increase awareness and grow the Occupational Medicine business.
  • Responds to RFPs
  • Makes customer sales calls
  • Develops and presents proposals
  • Implementation of new and renewal sales
  • Maintains current knowledge of the Occupational Medicine Industry

2. Manages client relationships for existing accounts.

  • Addresses concerns, issues, questions from brokers and customers
  • Develops customized implementation plan and timeline for each customer
  • Assists customers with achieving desired results
  • Makes broker and customer sales calls
  • Identifies prospective business
  • Gathers information required to make proposal
  • Maintains good standing in the brokerage community
  • Develops good relationships with consulting firms
  • Educates brokers regarding Health Partners' products, services and procedures
  • Coordinates customer communication
  • Oversees custom development and communications work sold to the customer
  • Prepares and presents regular customer reports
  • Renews/increases sales to existing customers
  • Develops strong relationships with Health Partners Sales team (Health Plan) and Work Site Health and identifies opportunities to cross sell other Health Partners solutions to prospects/customers.

3. Provides back up support for other team members.

4. Performs other duties as assigned by Director, Occupational Medicine.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Five years of demonstrated success in health care sales and service
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple project assignments with short deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Good computer skills
  • Must have current, valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Travel mostly within the Twin Cities Metro area as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • College education with an emphasis in Business, Finance, Marketing or Health Care Administration
  • Experience and working knowledge of strategic selling
  • Knowledge of Health Partners and affiliate company operations
  • Prior work experience in team environment
  • Good leadership/management skills
  • Working knowledge of CQI
