As an Inside Sales Specialist (Converter) for the Industrial Business Group Business Services, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people worldwide. You will make an impact by developing and executing sales strategies that drive converter sales and foster strong customer relationships.

• Drive 3M converter sales in assigned territory.
• Drive profitable product sales within the key converter segments (primarily Narrow Web but also Screen Print, Electronic Switch & Display, Membrane Switch, Specialty Die Cut and Foam Laminating).
• Establish and maintain customer relationships; understand the customer’s business/sales model to influence key players.
• Introduce new products and communicate promotions to relevant customers and prospects.
• Maintain and update a working Sales Plan with strategies and tactics to achieve annual sales forecast.
• Demonstrate a proficient level of procedural and technical product knowledge to identify products that meet customer needs.
• Work to attain sales quota, sales quality and sales productivity metrics.
• Share best practices with the team to promote a positive team environment.
• Proficiently identify market trends and account needs to react to market activity and reach favorable sales goals.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one (1) year of sales experience (combined inside and field sales) in a private, public, government or military environment.

• CRM experience / pipeline management.
• Minimum 1 year experience selling or working with 3M’s Industrial Adhesives and tapes division products.
• 1+ year experience working with Industrial Converters.
• 3+ years inside sales experience.
• 3+ years technical sales experience, preferably with 3M Industrial products.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• Experience leveraging Social Sales tools / processes (Linked In, webinars, etc.).
• Inside and field sales experience highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a high volume, rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to collaborate and compromise, including team leadership.
• Strong active listening skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products and CRM system.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to stay focused on tasks.
• Good interpersonal skills.

This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

May require up to 10% travel.
