General Summary
The Client Development Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Core Market & Specialists teams for businesses with 100+ employees. The position provides enrollment support, sales assistance, in‑force block management, and office administration to help field representatives drive growth and maintain consistency across enrollments and market development initiatives.
Responsibilities- Enrollment & Re‑Enrollment Coordination (≈50% of role): provide consultative guidance to sales representatives, act as enrollment subject‑matter expert, support enrollment events in Salesforce, educate team and customers on enrollment solutions, and coordinate Benefit Counselor representation.
- Sales Support & Market Development (≈20% of role): prepare presentations, benchmark use of claims data, support RFP efforts, create quote packages, analyze data to promote market agendas, and assist with broker events and leadership travel arrangements.
- In‑force Block Management (≈20% of role): conduct proactive analysis of in‑force blocks, identify cross‑selling opportunities, manage block renewal programs, execute customer expansion initiatives, and perform financial GPC processing and account research.
- Office & Management Support (≈10% of role): handle day‑to‑day operational tasks such as correspondence, supply maintenance, facilities requests, office cleanliness, system updates, report generation, broker‑of‑record changes, and other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
- Experience in the employee benefits industry preferred.
- Understanding of Unum/Colonial Life product and service portfolios.
- Strong growth and sales orientation.

- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Base salary range: $52,440.00 – $99,100.00, based on skill, location, and experience.
