Job Summary
The Sales Consultant is responsible for the conversion of leads/prospects to customers, generating referrals, and building strategic customer and realtor relationships to maximize revenue for the organization.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Sell and close Pulte Group products.
- Monitor and meet Customer Quality Experience (CQE) goals.
- Generate leads from customer referrals and core realtor group.
- Conduct interviews with all prospects for current/future home sales, make presentations to model visitors, and demonstrate the models, spec homes and community amenities.
- Explain principal and interest payments, taxes, insurance, CC&R's (deed restrictions), homeowner associations, and applicable club/golf membership plans.
- Prepare required paperwork for each home sale and prospective purchasers.
- Assist in arranging prospective homebuyer appointments with the design center, mortgage, key inspection, and settlement departments when necessary.
- Keep home buyers updated on construction progress and estimated completion dates, remaining actively involved through closing.
- Communicate properly with the appropriate departments regarding any customer requests for information or service.
- Actively manage backlog and communicate with Pulte Mortgage and/or outside lenders.
- Conduct regular monthly competitive shops and report findings to peers and management.
- Regularly walk the model park, sales center, and other community features to identify items not customer‑ready and coordinate repair/maintenance with the appropriate party.
- Regularly audit the community website, MLS, collateral, and other consumer‑facing materials to ensure accurate presentation.

- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of related functional experience.
- Ability to work all posted hours of operation, including opening and closing of the model park and sales center before and after posted hours.
- Ability to work weekends and all non‑exempt holidays.
- Appropriate license or certifications as required by the state.
- Completion of the Sales Consultant Learning and Certification Program.
- Valid Driver’s License (driving is an essential function).
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and other operating systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to build relationships with prospective home buyers.
- USD 27.88 per hour as a Sales Trainee.
- USD 58,000 annual draw plus commissions as a Sales Consultant.
- All Sales Consultants, except those in CA, are ineligible for paid time off but receive 8 paid sales holidays plus 23 or 28 days off based on years of service (comprising unpaid time off and paid sick time, if applicable).
