Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for sales of Edelman, Knoll Textiles, and Maharam products to a specific client roster and geography.
- Travel to client locations and develop ongoing relationships with clients to ensure brand awareness and provide "first look" consideration for project involvement.
- Entertain clients through meals, events, and industry functions.
- Present new Maharam products to clients, specifying interior finishes using the EASIER acronym.
- Handle product and project involvement with specifying clients, end‑users, and buying customers.
- Provide product information and develop pricing, delivery, and "need by" date strategies.
- Maintain and update the resource library, replacing missing samples and managing merchandising.
- Supervise inside sales support and coordinate sales activities with the sales coordinator.
- Maintain client database management.
- Reports to Manager, Regional Sales and may receive assignments from VP, Sales.
- Coordinates with specifying clients, purchasing customers, end‑users, resource management, QA, credit, key client services, sales management, and local sales representatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills for one‑on‑one and group interactions.
- Comfortable entertaining clients away from their workplace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to resolve pricing, delivery, installation, and other client problems with confidence.
- Organized, able to multitask, and retain detailed product and project information.
- Team‑oriented and self‑directed, following Maharam protocols without direct supervision.
- Computer savvy with MS Office and ability to learn Maharam specific functions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; degree in Interior Design preferred.
- Sales experience preferred but not required.
