The Geneva Suites Residential Assisted Living locations are Bloomington, Burnsville, Eagan, Edina, and Eden Prairie.

$75,000 base salary (based on experience) with commission and referral bonus potential.

This role includes a base salary plus eligibility for performance-based compensation and commission based on residents' move-ins.

Position Summary

The Senior Living Sales Specialist is a revenue-generating, community-facing role responsible for securing private‑pay resident move‑ins for The Geneva Suites. This position focuses on building and maintaining referral relationships, converting qualified inquiries into admissions, and guiding families from first contact through move‑in with clarity, urgency, and compassion.

Success is measured by private‑pay occupancy growth, timely conversion of leads, and the ability to confidently help families make informed decisions that result in residency at The Geneva Suites.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain referral networks with both traditional (hospitals, TCUs, assisted livings…) and nontraditional sources (wealth managers, fiduciaries, churches, community leaders…).
  • Engage in consistent, in‑person networking near Geneva Suites locations.
  • Represent The Geneva Suites with warmth, professionalism, and deep knowledge of our care model.
  • Promptly respond to inquiries from families and referral partners.
  • Guide prospective residents and families through tours, assessments, and admissions steps.
  • Use active listening to build trust and personalize each family’s experience.
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact from first inquiry through move‑in.
  • Conduct private tours in our homes with empathy and confidence.
  • Clearly communicate what sets The Geneva Suites apart—our care ratios, home environments, and resident‑centered model.
  • Coordinate follow‑up promptly and personally.
  • Limited travel outside Minnesota (company paid).
What Makes You a Strong Fit
  • Proven track record in consultative sales; demonstrated success converting qualified leads into commitments, ideally in senior living, healthcare, or other high‑trust service environments.
  • Strong referral relationship builder; experienced in developing and maintaining professional networks with hospitals, discharge planners, social workers, senior living communities, fiduciaries, and community organizations.
  • High level of emotional intelligence—able to support families navigating difficult care decisions with empathy, patience, and clear communication.
  • Disciplined follow‑through and responsiveness—consistently follows up on inquiries, referrals, tours, and assessments in a timely and organized manner.
  • Comfortable conducting in‑home or community tours—able to confidently walk families through care environments while addressing questions, concerns, and decision factors.
  • Ability to clearly articulate value—effectively communicates the differentiators of The Geneva Suites model, including care ratios, home environment, and resident‑centered approach.
  • Self‑directed and performance‑driven—motivated by measurable outcomes such as occupancy growth, move‑ins, and referral development.
  • Community presence and networking ability—comfortable representing the organization at community events, meetings, and professional gatherings to generate awareness and referrals.
  • Strong listening and discovery skills—able to uncover family priorities, care needs, financial considerations, and decision timelines to guide appropriate next steps.
  • Highly organized pipeline manager—skilled at tracking inquiries, referral sources, and follow‑up actions to ensure no prospective resident or partner relationship is overlooked.
