Pay Range: $17.97 - $24.74+ hourly

The Safety and Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Making scheduled rounds inside and outside the building to maintain a secure environment.
• Scheduling and ensuring that all fire and disaster drills are conducted for each shift and keeping accurate detailed logs.
• Maintaining security records, including safety inspections, repair needs of equipment, unusual circumstances, and service requests.
• Ensuring all safety equipment is in good working order.
• Responding to fire alarms and emergency calls and notifying appropriate team members as necessary.
• Managing daily guard reports of each shift and providing detailed explanations of occurrences to ensure accurate information shared between shifts.
• Controlling entry and exit of guests, team members, residents, and vendors to the community and building, requiring appropriate identification.
• Performing light maintenance as needed or requested, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging toilets or drains.
• Transporting residents and/or team members on and off the property as needed or requested.
• Delivering packages to residents and distributing in‑house mail.
• Greeting residents and guests, assisting with luggage and packages, and parking and retrieving resident vehicles.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to three years of applicable experience.
• State‑issued driver’s license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Pay is commensurate with experience and determined by level of experience and position‑related competencies.
