A growing OEM of automated packaging machinery is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead a highly skilled team of field service professionals supporting capital equipment installations and aftermarket service across North America.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who has grown up in field service, automation, controls, or capital equipment and is ready to take ownership of both technical operations and business performance. You'll lead a team responsible for equipment installations, customer support, preventive maintenance programs, and aftermarket growth while helping shape the future of the service organization.
What You'll Do- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of experienced field service technicians and service advisors.
- Own customer technical issues throughout the equipment lifecycle—from installation through ongoing support.
- Drive aftermarket service growth through service agreements, preventive maintenance programs, and parts opportunities.
- Partner with customers to improve equipment uptime and deliver world-class service.
- Analyze KPIs, identify trends, and implement continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, operations, and leadership.
- Manage service operations while contributing to P&L performance and strategic business initiatives.
- Leadership experience managing field service or technical service teams.
- Background supporting automation, packaging machinery, robotics, processing equipment, or other capital equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with industrial electrical, controls, PLCs (Rockwell preferred), or mechanical systems.
- Experience working directly with customers on installations, startup, troubleshooting, and aftermarket support.
- Passion for developing teams while balancing customer satisfaction and business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Lead a tenured, technically strong service organization.
- Significant visibility with executive leadership.
- Opportunity to gain P&L ownership and grow into broader operational leadership.
- Stable, growing organization with strong employee retention and excellent benefits beginning on Day 1.
