Senior Java Developer

Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Java Developer at our client in Minneapolis, MN.

• Experienced Java/Spring Boot Developer with strong core Java fundamentals and hands‑on expertise in Kafka or webhook-based streaming, MemSQL, and deployment within Open Shift Container Platform (OCP).
• Ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize high-performance, scalable services and data pipelines while collaborating closely with cross‑functional engineering teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize streaming integrations using Kafka or webhook-based event flows.
• Work with MemSQL (Single Store) for high-performance data storage, querying, and processing.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications within OCP (Open Shift Container Platform).
• Ensure code quality through best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and Dev Ops teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive improvements in performance, resilience, and observability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and advocate for best-in-class engineering practices.
• Document system designs, APIs, and technical processes for clarity and sustainability.

The base range for this contract position is $70.00 - $100.00 per hour, depending on experience.
