Job Overview

Casual Driver – Bloomington, MN. Responsible for driving a bus/van to meet transportation needs of the SNF/AL Community, individuals, and group transportation. The Martin Luther Care Center is part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus located in East Bloomington near woodlands/wetlands along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Managed by Ebenezer, we offer 137 units across Skilled Nursing, Memory Care and Transitional Care.

• Casual/On-Call Schedule
• Day shift
• No weekends

• Productivity and Initiative – Completes transportation routes and duties in a timely manner.
• Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period.
• Organizes work assignments.
• Modifies schedule to accommodate the needs of passengers.
• Ensures compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle.
• Communicates with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies.
• Dependability – Provides supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties.
• Follows policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations.
• Functions effectively with limited direct supervision.
• Safety and Health – Is responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers; practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services; knows and practices infection control, fire and disaster, and safety procedures; recognizes and acts on safety hazards and incidents; responds to emergency situations.
• Participant/Resident Care – Displays knowledge and understanding of participant and resident rights; provides assistance to all participants and residents as needed.

• Less than 1 year of experience
• Driver's License in good standing
• Medical Exam Certification
• Minimum age 18 years
• Insurable under the employer's Auto Insurance Coverage
• Must complete and pass in-house transportation curriculum course and pass driving evaluation within 30 days

• 1 year of experience
