Position SummaryThe Senior Logistics Analyst supports Polaris PG&A transportation operations by providing advanced analytical insights, coordinating logistics activities, and contributing to process improvements. This role focuses on optimizing freight performance, supporting carrier relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency across various transportation modes. It is a senior individual contributor role, not a management position.
Key Responsibilities- Advanced Freight Analysis
- Analyze freight spend across inbound, outbound, and transfer shipments.
- Develop reports and dashboards to monitor logistics performance and identify trends.
- Coordinate freight payment activities, including invoice validation and issue resolution, in partnership with Polaris finance teams and external freight payment providers.
- Operational Support
- Assist in coordinating daily transportation activities with carriers and distribution centers.
- Provide data-driven support for issue resolution and service recovery.
- Carrier Performance Monitoring
- Track and report on carrier KPIs.
- Support carrier transitions and onboarding with performance data and documentation.
- Process Improvement Participation
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to logistics workflows.
- Contribute to cross‑functional projects aimed at enhancing delivery, cost, and quality.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure logistics activities align with internal policies and external regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of freight transactions and performance metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams (e.g., customer service, product development, finance) to support logistics-related initiatives.
- Provide analytical support for contract and RFP processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data tools and reporting.
- Solid understanding of freight modes and logistics processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or cost analysis is a plus.
Starting pay range for Minnesota: $77,000 to $102,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
