Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) - Speech-Language Pathology

The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to support our dynamic Speech-Language Pathology graduate program and our Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology undergraduate program. We are seeking a visionary educator and researcher committed to advancing these programs through innovative teaching, scholarly excellence, and student-centered engagement. The successful candidate will complement the expertise of current faculty, foster a collaborative environment, and contribute to the continued development and recognition of our department.

The home campus for this position is Bloomsburg with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

Duties - Teach courses in the graduate Speech-Language Pathology program and undergraduate Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology program Conduct and disseminate research in the fields of speech, language, and hearing sciences Mentor and advise students, fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment Collaborate with faculty to implement forward-thinking curricular and program developments Participate in service to the department, college, university, and professional communities Complete distance education training programs as made available by the University within two years of hire for the purpose of teaching in a multi-campus environment with remote teaching needs

Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred) - Minimum Qualifications An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related area and the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology are required prior to start date. Preferred Qualifications Previous graduate-level teaching experience Record of peer-reviewed publications and presentations Clinical experience Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Swallowing Disorders;
Adult Neurogenic Disorders;
Voice and Resonance Disorders. Other areas of expertise may be considered.
