The Temporary Research Librarian provides information literacy support and research assistance to undergraduates, graduates, and faculty, operating under the authority of the Director of the Commonwealth University Libraries.

• Assist researchers in locating relevant information.
• Participate in the Library’s Information Literacy Instruction program.
• Stay informed about current events in the Library profession that pertain to job duties.
• Collaborate with academic departments as assigned.
• Work as a team member with other librarians and staff as directed by the Director.

• Experience using and teaching online information resources.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
• Finalists must successfully complete an interview.
• Preferred:
  Prior academic library experience.

Offers are conditional upon background clearance in accordance with PA Act 153 and Board of Governors Policy 2014‑01‑A. Clearance including PA Child Abuse History Clearance and FBI clearance must be obtained within 90 days.
