Senior Civil Engineer – Northeast Engineering Design Organization
Join a global network of architects, designers, planners, engineers, and environmental scientists focused on building water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure, and site‑development projects. This role provides an opportunity to plan, design, and oversee the construction of exciting and diverse municipal and private projects with a key focus on linear infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Design engineering solutions and validation processes to meet functional, performance, aesthetic, and cost requirements.
- Contribute to analysis, drafting, and evaluation of engineering standards and specifications within the discipline.
- Deliver small‑ or medium‑scale projects within an established program management plan.
- Analyze information and specify methods, process steps, plant, machinery, and equipment to design and improve manufacturing or material processes.
- Manage day‑to‑day relationships with contract service providers within a contract management plan.
- Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs using best approaches.
- Work within established knowledge management systems to deliver preset outcomes.
- Develop own capabilities through assessment, development planning, training, and coaching; maintain external certifications where relevant.
- Conduct inspections to evaluate quality and integrity of engineering works, specifying remedial actions.
- Identify process shortcomings and use change management programs to address them.
- Manage relationships with small clients and assist senior colleagues with larger key clients.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- At least 6 years of linear‑focused project experience in water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure design, transmission mains, industrial pipelines, energy sector, industrial sites, or grading plans.
- Modeling capabilities.
- Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
Salary Range: $86,400 – $155,500 based on experience and location.
