Who are we looking for?

Our Northeast Water business is expanding and we’re seeking a Project Manager in Pennsylvania
. In this pivotal role, you’ll spearhead investigations, design development, and project execution for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems across the state. As Project Manager
, you’ll oversee multi‑disciplinary treatment facility designs, conduct alternatives analyses and economic evaluations, and manage collection and distribution projects—including linear and pumping systems. You’ll also lead treatability studies (bench testing, pilot plant evaluations) and contribute to financial and operational reviews. Your leadership will extend to managing team performance, utilisation, and engagement, mentoring emerging professionals and collaborating with senior business leaders to drive positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design engineering solutions and validate them to meet functional, performance, aesthetic, and cost goals within regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to drafting engineering standards and specifications, evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Deliver small‑ or medium‑scale projects within a program management plan.
  • Analyse information, specify process steps, machinery, and equipment to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes.
  • Manage day‑to‑day relationships with contract service providers.
  • Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs.
  • Work within knowledge‑management systems to deliver outcomes.
  • Develop own capabilities via assessment, planning, training, and coaching; maintain professional accreditation.
  • Carry out inspections to evaluate quality of engineering works and specify remedial works.
  • Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use change‑management programmes to address them.
  • Support client and customer management, working with small to large key clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in PA or ability to acquire it.
  • At least 6 years of relevant water engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of water regulations including wastewater treatment, conveyance, surface water treatment, lead and copper, disinfection by‑product rules.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
