Health and Safety Specialist in Bloomsburg, PA

Our manufacturing client in Bloomsburg, PA is seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to join their team. The position requires being on-site in Bloomsburg, PA. Relocation assistance within the US is available. This is one of over 50 current EHS positions being recruited for nationwide.

Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the management and overall direction of Health and Safety programs and activities at the facility

• Unrestricted authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
• Bachelor's Degree
• One (1) or more or more years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing

• Professional Certification from a nationally recognized organization (BCSP, NASP, IHMM, COSS, NREP, etc.)

• Support the EHS Manager and partner with plant operations leadership regarding interpretation of federal, state and local EHS regulations
• Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategies
• Participate and/or lead employee training programs regarding EHS behaviors and compliance
• Participate and/or lead EHS audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed
• Participate and/or lead multi-media environmental compliance including, but not limited to:
  Water (SPCC, storm);
  Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous);
  Air (internal respiratory and external emissions)
• Participate and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives regarding EHS policies and programs
• Assist in maintaining and ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state and local regulations and company EHS standards.

Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000
