Security Officer ; Part Time​/Rotation

Hours:

20. Starting rate $16.24 with potential increases for experience and shift differentials.

Responsible for maintaining safety and security for an assigned area at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. Duties include patrolling, emergency response, enforcing rules, operating security technology, and providing assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.

• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
• Enforce hospital rules and security policies, observe for unauthorized persons or hazards, and report incidents.
• Perform watch tours and complete detailed shift reports.
• Direct firefighting activities, inspect for fire hazards, enforce fire safety rules, and participate in drills.
• Direct traffic, enforce parking regulations, and assist with patient and vehicle problems.
• Provide escort and delivery services, assist Life Flight, and perform prisoner escort duties.
• Operate security technology (CCTV, access control, alarm systems).
• Respond to emergencies, hazardous material incidents and coordinate with local police.
• Investigate complaints and prepare incident reports.
• Participate in orientation and training for new employees on safety and security policies.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum 1 year related experience preferred.
• Physical ability to perform essential duties.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
