Job Summary

Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers’ needs. We are currently looking for Laborers out of our Bloomsburg, PA location.

• General laborer duties associated with seal coating
• Cleaning and preparing the construction site and pavement surfaces
• Safely maintain traffic control including flagging duties
• Keep equipment and tools in good working condition
• Work in a team oriented environment
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist the crew

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record
• Possession of valid CDL is preferred
• Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
• Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
• Frequent exposure to loud noise
• Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
• Regularly exposed to extended periods of physical activity in extreme heat
• Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
• Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel with overnight stays
