Executive Staff Assistant – Academic Support Department
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for an Executive Staff Assistant within our Academic Support Department. The Executive Staff Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for the Dean’s Office Suite, providing administrative and operational support to the Academic Affairs team. This role coordinates daily activities, ensures efficient office operations, and supports departmental initiatives. The position is 83% full‑time equivalent, with 40 hours per week from the first Monday in August through the last Friday in May.
EssentialFunctions
- Serve as primary point of contact at the front desk of the Dean’s Suite, assisting faculty, staff, students, and visitors through phone and in‑person interactions.
- Manage and coordinate scheduling for Academic Affairs staff, including meetings and events.
- Review and approve campus event location requests according to college guidelines.
- Coordinate and order catering for departmental events and meetings.
- Maintain and update department websites to ensure accurate and current information.
- Purchase office supplies and manage inventory for the department.
- Provide general administrative support and perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training in lieu of the degree.
- One (1) year of relevant work experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and demonstrated organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to learn and effectively use UC Systems (e.g., 25
Live, Catalyst, UC Flex, Concur).
- Office environment; no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
Hourly pay (salary to be determined).
