Your Role at BSI
The Architectural Designer is responsible for assisting with the design and detail drawing packages for our clients. They work closely with all in-house engineering disciplines to create quality designs. Our group is made up of talented and hard-working individuals, and we are looking forward to adding another member to our team.
To support collaboration, mentorship opportunities, and effective project execution, BSI Engineering has adopted a hybrid work schedule in which employees are in the office a minimum of three days per week.
Responsibilities and Scope- Reports directly to the Manager of Architecture
- Participates in programming efforts with clients and gathers necessary field data
- Participates in interdisciplinary coordination efforts to ensure project objectives are being met
- Assists in developing designs and details
- Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. using Revit
- Continues to develop and improve the quality of design and documentation within the firm while taking leadership in related efforts
- Assists in preparing material take-offs for estimating efforts as required
- Participates in construction administration support
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Architectural Technology or a related field of study
- 3+ years post graduate experience
- Proficient in Revit
- Working knowledge of 3D visualization and rendering software
- Strong knowledge of general building systems, functions and design
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, methods and industry standards
- Good presentation and decision-making skills
- Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently
- Proficient at setting priorities and managing multiple tasks
- Good written and oral communication skills
