Job Title:
Adjunct Assistant Professor, Chemistry (UC Blue Ash)
Part‑time faculty must be able to teach one or more of the following chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses:
- First‑year general chemistry for science students
- First‑year general/organic/biochemistry (GOB) for allied‑health students
- First‑year general education chemistry for non‑science students
- Second‑year organic chemistry for science students
Adjunct faculty members will be expected to:
- Use the course management system (Canvas) and any textbook‑specific systems
- Hold regular office hours to meet with students and respond to student communications in a timely manner
- Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year
All classes may be offered day or evening. The position is not eligible for visa or green card sponsorship.
Essential Functions- Teach assigned undergraduate courses on a part‑time basis
- Serve as an academic advisor for students and evaluate student coursework
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of core responsibilities
- Review and respond in a timely manner to all university‑related communications
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Master's degree (or higher) in Chemistry or a related field of study
- At least one year of teaching experience in a college setting
- Ph.D. in Chemistry
