Adjunct Instructor, Philosophy – UC Blue Ash College

Job posting start date: 3/23/26. Work arrangement: onsite.

About UC Blue Ash College

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is part of the University of Cincinnati system, located in Blue Ash, Ohio. We offer associate degrees, general education courses, and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 5,100 students.

Philosophy Adjunct faculty general pool of candidates will be selected for part‑time faculty positions for the upcoming term.

Job Overview

Part‑time faculty must be able to teach introductory courses in Philosophy.

  • Use Canvas and any textbook‑specific systems.
  • Hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner.
  • Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.

All classes may be offered day or evening. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Essential Functions
  • On a part‑time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
  • Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities.
  • Review and respond in a timely manner to all University‑related and student communications.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Required Education
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Philosophy.
Required Experience
  • At least one (1) year of teaching experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Previous teaching experience in a college setting.
  • Experience teaching medical and/or business ethics.
