Allied Health Adjunct Faculty responsibilities include: teaching associate level courses in introductory health professions, medical terminology, and or pathophysiology.
Adjunct faculty members will be expected to:
- Use the course management system (Canvas) and any textbook‑specific systems.
- Hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner.
- Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
Courses may be offered day or evening, in face‑to‑face, hybrid or online formats. Teaching is assigned on an as‑needed, semester‑by‑semester basis.
This position is not eligible for visa or green card sponsorship. It is considered to be under 20 hours per week for employment authorization purposes.
Essential Functions- On a part‑time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
- Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.
- Review and respond in a timely manner to all University‑related and student communications.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an allied health or related field.
Required ExperienceMinimum of three (3) years of professional work experience within the allied health field.
Additional Qualifications ConsideredA minimum of one (1) year of successful classroom teaching experience in course content area.
