UC Blue Ash

The Veterinary Technology Department at UC Blue Ash invites applicants for our Adjunct faculty general pool of candidates from which part‑time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed).

Job Overview

Veterinary Technology Adjunct Faculty responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses including lecture, lab, and clinical courses based on candidates’ expertise.

Adjunct faculty members will be expected to:

  • Use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook‑specific systems.
  • Hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner.
  • Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.

Many lectures are offered using online lecture delivery. Adjuncts should be comfortable using technology and be willing to attend professional development opportunities to learn how to properly apply technology in the virtual classroom as a requirement for teaching online.

Essential Functions
  • On a part‑time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
  • Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities.
  • Review and respond in a timely manner to all University‑related and student communications.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Required Education
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field of study; or a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Required Trainings/Certifications
  • Candidates must have a license to practice in the State of Ohio by the time of faculty appointment.
Required Experience
  • At least one (1) year of teaching experience in a college setting.
