Under general supervision, the Associate Water Engineer-Process begins functioning as a technical specialist, building on experience to handle increasingly complex assignments and expanding knowledge into other disciplines.
Responsibilities- Maintain knowledge of departmental design guides, standards, systems, engineering codes, and B&V policies and procedures.
- Develop and apply engineering knowledge independently, complying with B&V quality program and supporting continuous improvement and change management.
- Prepare a variety of increasingly complex engineering deliverables, including research, recommendations for equipment/material selection, data management, and calculations following standard methods and principles.
- Understand and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Recognize, define, and resolve problems within assigned area; provide direction and guidance to others.
- Assign tasks to develop entry‑level professionals and interns. Coordinate with project leadership and other internal/external team members on less complex projects. Interact as needed with other disciplines on design details.
- Engage with external clients to understand interests and needs; provide support to business development or pursuit activities.
- Share current knowledge of latest technology and processes; assist with performance management, recognition, corrective actions; actively mentor entry‑level professionals and interns.
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program. Minimum of one year of related work experience. Successful completion of pre‑employment onboarding (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) required.
