Role SummaryThis opportunity entails limited supervision, performing complex scheduling assignments; building and maintaining schedules for projects; monitoring and reporting on status and analyzing schedules and associated changes for key risk areas and milestone impact; and generally working on large or complex projects or multiple smaller projects.
What You’ll Do- Independently develop new project schedules for moderately complex projects using scheduling software. Maintain project schedule including progress updates, revise forecasts, and evaluate the impact of delay. Communicate status of schedule and key risk areas to members of the project management team.
- Perform schedule risk analysis, including quantitative risk analysis.
- Perform schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones and significant changes to schedule. Develop “what if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing in order to mitigate or avoid schedule delays.
- Perform claims related analysis using contractor claims, delay cost estimates, time impacts, etc.
- Prepare reporting from schedules including EVA analysis, integration of cost and schedule.
- Perform contemporaneous schedule analysis.
- Perform detailed review of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates.
- Research project documentation relating to claim data, including project correspondence and inspection diaries.
- Analyze contract documents and construction documents (plans and specifications) to translate scope of work, milestones, contract time, and/or construction phasing and sequencing into the schedule.
- Assist project team in planning the work, including developing Work‑Breakdown Structure (WBS), estimating durations, and sequencing the work (hard restraints and soft restraints).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business and 6 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of education, 10 years of relevant experience.
- AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or equivalent.
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing project schedules using commercially available scheduling software.
- Experience in 2 or more phases of the project lifecycle (e.g., predesign, design, procurement, construction, and post‑construction phases).
- Experience working as a client’s PM/CM agent (e.g., providing program management/construction management services) or as part of a design‑build contractor (or equivalent design and construction experience).
- Experience with Mega Projects is preferred.
- Review and analysis of design‑phase project schedules.
- Review and analysis of highly complex and detailed construction‑phase project schedules.
- Review and analysis of project schedules for compliance with project documents.
- Interface with project teams to manage schedules for multiple projects during the project lifecycle.
- Advanced experience with Primavera P6 required.
- Claims experience (e.g., time impact analysis, windows analysis, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret highway plans, specifications, and related project documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
The approximate pay range for Ohio is $95,991.51 – $. The approximate nationwide pay range for this position is $95,991.51 – $. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on factors, including but not limited to the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
