Power Distribution Designer III

The Designer III (DT III) position is the third level in the Designer career track. This role provides designs for utility systems, including overhead and underground circuits for joint use, lighting, and commercial, industrial, and residential development, as well as gas and generation systems. This track also supports field data collection and storm restoration efforts. You'll handle moderately complex design projects and provide support on more complex projects, with more independence than the DT II, while interacting with clients/customers and construction crews.

Primarily office-based with significant field work required, including exposure to inclement weather.

Pay: $27.00- $30.00 per hour DOE

• Independently perform field data collection and project-specific inspections for moderately complex projects
• Produce high-quality CAD drawings and material lists for simple projects;
• provide support required by supervision for more complex tasks
• Ensure all necessary project communications are documented as required by training
• Provide guidance and training to peers and newer designers on simple projects
• Independently produce permitting documentation as needed
• Communicate with clients and participate in site meetings with oversight
• Work independently, under supervision for mentorship, guidance, and training

• High school diploma or equivalent + 4 years of relevant work experience, OR Associate's degree + 3 years of relevant work experience
• Valid driver's license
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check; motor vehicle checks may be required based on position
