Sycamore Community Schools seeks a strategic, experienced, and collaborative Treasurer to lead the district's financial operations and support long‑term fiscal sustainability. This is an opportunity to serve a high-performing district with a strong financial foundation, engaged stakeholders, and a commitment to responsible planning.
The Treasurer will serve as a key advisor to the Board of Education and Superintendent, providing transparent financial reporting, supporting long‑range forecasting, and ensuring compliance with all Ohio school finance laws and reporting requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively. The Treasurer will play a critical role in guiding budget development, cash management, internal controls, and strategic financial decision‑making.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Valid Ohio School Treasurer license
- Demonstrated experience in school district finance, including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of Ohio school finance laws, compliance requirements, and internal controls
- Experience working collaboratively with boards of education and superintendents
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to a variety of stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
The Board offers a competitive compensation package, including a multi‑year contract with annual performance reviews. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
