Compensation
Target range: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year (actual starting pay varies based on experience, skills, specialty, and location).Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus (target 10%) and an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus (target 10%). Bonuses may be awarded semi‑annually based on performance goals.
Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting and finance team, responsible for executing accounting procedures to ensure the company’s books and records are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The role includes preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, supporting the design of controls for SOX, and handling ad‑hoc accounting, internal controls, regulatory reporting, accrual analysis, and monthly account reconciliations.
Responsibilities- Maintain records of financial activity in accordance with US GAAP, organizational standards, and Section 404 of the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act.
- Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
- Complete month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities, including asset‑back securitization, equipment funding, and cash management transactions, and prepare audit work papers.
- Ensure accuracy, validity, and completeness of documentation for regulatory and government requirements.
- Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, including operating lease assets, goodwill and intangible assets, loan and finance lease net investment.
- Oversee weekly (and eventually daily) reconciliation of loan & finance lease net investment and operating lease net investment.
- Research technical accounting issues.
- Oversee monthly accounting for intercompany transactions, including intercompany debt and interest calculations.
- Manage monthly customer delinquency, charge‑offs, recoveries, residual realization, and borrowing base reporting.
- Prepare account reconciliations and upload to Flo Qast timely.
- Develop functional knowledge of operational systems and prepare schedules for regulatory compliance and SEC reporting.
- Assist with audit preparation and support.
- Provide direct or indirect supervision of less‑experienced accountants.
- Update process and procedure documentation to keep them current.
- Collaborate with the corporate accounting team to resolve outstanding issues.
- Assist with ad‑hoc schedule preparations as needed.
- Oversee Great Plain account GL balances and confirm agreement with Oracle balances monthly.
- Complete all regulatory training as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet communication deadlines.
- Ability to effectively supervise less‑experienced staff.
