Epic Beaker Analyst

Vaco is hiring an Epic Beaker Analyst for a remote (EST) opportunity.

The Epic Beaker Analyst will provide daytime support for ongoing Beaker maintenance and optimization efforts. This fully remote role supports critical laboratory operations by ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of the Epic Beaker Laboratory Information System (LIS).

• Candidates must reside within the Eastern (EST) or Central (CST) time zones in the United States

The Epic Beaker Analyst will support and maintain Epic Beaker by:

• Creating and maintaining submitter records
• Designing, building, and validating complex new laboratory tests
• Modifying and maintaining reference ranges
• Developing and refining auto-verification logic
• Building and maintaining AP (Anatomic Pathology) task protocols
• Updating and maintaining accessioning logic
• Supporting Order Transmittal (OTx) build and configuration
• Configuring and maintaining microbiology components, including:
  • Organisms
  • Susceptibility testing workflows and rules
• Troubleshooting Beaker issues related to laboratory workflows
• Partnering with laboratory leadership, pathologists, and IT teams to support enhancements and system stability

• Active Clinical Pathology (CP) and Anatomic Pathology (AP) certifications (REQUIRED)
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience with Epic Beaker build and maintenance (required)
• Strong understanding of clinical laboratory operations and workflows

• Experience with Order Transmittal (OTx) build and maintenance (preferred)
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements impacting laboratory systems
