We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled mental health therapist and supervisor to join our small but growing private practice. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and motivated clinician committed to therapeutic excellence and contributing to the well-being of our diverse clientele. This role offers the opportunity to provide direct clinical services within a supportive setting as well as oversee supervises.

This hybrid role combines direct clinical client care, which is a majority of the role, with dedicated clinical supervision of pre-licensed and dependently licensed staff.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Wayfinder Counseling, you will be responsible for:

• Direct Supervision:
  Provide weekly or bi-weekly individual and group supervision to dependently licensed clinicians (LPCs, LSWs, MFTs) and/or clinical interns, ensuring compliance with Ohio CSWMFT Board standards.
• Chart Audit & Sign-Off:
  Review, edit, and co-sign diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries completed by supervises within our secure Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Simple Practice.
• Crisis Consultation:
  Provide prompt clinical consultation and guidance to supervises navigating client crises, mandatory reporting, high-risk situations, and complex ethical dilemmas.
• Clinician Development & Mentorship:
  Guide supervises in clinical skill-building, therapeutic modality implementation (CBT, DBT, EFT, etc.), caseload management, and preventing burn-out.
• Board & Administrative Compliance:
  Maintain accurate, audit-ready supervisory logs and complete timely evaluations and board paperwork required for supervises pursuing independent licensure.
• Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments:
  Conducting thorough initial diagnostic assessments to accurately identify mental health disorders and formulate appropriate clinical impressions.
• Individualized Treatment Planning:
  Collaborating with clients to develop person-centered, measurable treatment plans with clear goals, objectives, and interventions. Regularly reviewing and updating treatment plans to reflect each client’s progress and evolving needs.
• Therapeutic Intervention:
  Providing appropriate, evidence-based interventions during individual, couples, and/or family therapy sessions to facilitate improved responses to a wide range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship issues, life transitions, and stress management.
• Clinical Documentation:
  Maintaining timely, accurate, and comprehensive clinical documentation of all client interactions, including intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with ethical, legal, and professional standards and utilizing Simple Practice.
• Ethical Practice:
  Adhering strictly to professional ethical guidelines (e.g., ACA Code of Ethics, AAMFT Code of Ethics) and all relevant state and federal laws (e.g., Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, & Marriage and Family Therapist Board) regarding client confidentiality, professional conduct, and scope of practice.
• Collaboration:
  
  Engaging in collaborative efforts for client care with the clinical director and other staff, as well as communicating effectively with administrative staff to ensure seamless client care and practice operations.
• Professional Development:
  Committing to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field of mental health counseling.

• Education:
  
  Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Licensure:
  Current, active, and unencumbered license in the State of Ohio:
