Role Summary
The Risk Remediation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the identification, prioritization, tracking, and resolution of cyber security risks and vulnerabilities across the enterprise. This role serves as the central point of coordination for remediation activities, ensuring risks move efficiently from identification through closure while maintaining audit‑ready documentation and alignment with organizational risk tolerance and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate intake of risks identified through vulnerability scans, audits, penetration tests, and risk assessments.
- Ensure risks are documented with clear descriptions, severity, impact, and affected assets.
- Support risk assessments evaluating impact to operations, assets, and reputation.
- Work with security and technical teams to prioritize risks based on severity, exploitability, and business impact.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to align remediation priorities with enterprise risk management and governance discussions.
- Coordinate remediation timelines and track progress from identification through closure using risk registers or ticketing systems.
- Facilitate remediation activities across infrastructure, application, and security teams, including patching, configuration updates, or compensating controls.
- Maintain dashboards and reporting on remediation status, aging risks, and trends for leadership and compliance stakeholders.
- Ensure remediation evidence is documented and audit‑ready to support internal and external audits.
- Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve remediation workflows, processes, and tooling.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management and remediation practices.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and risk tracking processes.
- Knowledge of patch management lifecycle and remediation workflows.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST SP 800‑171 and CMMC.
- Experience maintaining remediation evidence and compliance documentation.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate technical risk in business‑relevant terms.
- Experience supporting remediation efforts tied to regulatory or compliance requirements.
- Experience working across security, infrastructure, compliance, and business teams.
- Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and governance alignment.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in our office in Blue Ash, Ohio.
