Essential Function

Responsible for setup and production of high‑quality printing jobs using a roll‑fed screen press, ensuring customer and company expectations are met cost‑effectively and within strict deadlines.

Experience

Minimum 5 years operating large offset/digital presses with 2+ years operating roll‑fed or continuous screen‑printing presses.

Job Duties and General Expectations
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi‑task, with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing personnel
  • Have basic knowledge of computers (knowledge of PACE is a plus)
  • Keep accurate and complete daily records for data collection
  • Meet company and departmental standards, including:
    Customer Requirements, Compliance, Safety, Quality, etc.
  • Follow ISO Quality Procedures and Work Instructions, and complete forms and checklists as necessary
  • Follow company policies outlined in the handbook
  • Work overtime and weekends, as business needs dictate
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Attend department and company meetings
  • Assist in training new and temporary employees
Position Specific Skills & Competencies
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Continuous Inkjet Roll‑to‑Roll Printing Press equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor press operation during production runs to identify and resolve any mechanical or printing issues.
  • Train and mentor Machine Associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Accurately interpret job tickets and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all jobs meet customer specifications.
  • Perform and schedule routine maintenance & service. Retain detailed records.
  • Select and prepare print samples or proofs for customer review upon request.
  • Organize and prepare printed output for the next stage in the production process.
  • Ability to interpret and produce variable content within high‑volume print production environments.
  • Recommend improvements and assist in developing SOPs related to job functions, process enhancements, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to achieve proper tension and registration, ink and water balance and maintain color balance throughout job.
  • Good eye for color and be able to match proofs.
  • Knowledge of roll finishing equipment and layout restrictions for press.
  • Be able to work at a high production rate in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to load/unload rolls of substrate material and align them accurately for printing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to operate motorized pallet jack and/or forklift (certification may be required).
Education
  • High school graduate/GED
  • Any trade experience is a plus
