Job SummaryThe production planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality aerospace components. You will work closely with operations, procurement, quality, and engineering teams to balance capacity, material availability, and customer requiements.
ResponsabilitiesInclude the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
- Create, manage, and adjust detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, capacity constraints, and material availability.
- Monitor work‑in‑process (WIP) to identify potential delays or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze production data and capacity loads to support long‑term planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate schedule changes, priorities, and risks to cross‑functional teams, leadership, and external partners as needed.
- Release work orders and ensure they are accurate, complete, and aligned with engineering specifications and quality requirements.
- Support ERP/MRP system updates, reporting, and data integrity initiatives.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve non‑conformance, rework, or engineering change impacts to the schedule.
- Review Capacity and make suggestions for changes where needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of production planning or scheduling experience, ideally in aerospace, precision machining, or regulated manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, special processes, inspection) preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
- APICS CPIM or similar certification is a plus.
