The SSA supports the store leadership team in achieving all customer service, sales, ATF requirements, and safety standards while demonstrating outstanding customer service and leadership in the store. The SSA is responsible for opening and closing the store, maintaining range safety and cleanliness standards, and meeting personal sales goals. The SSA will learn and execute the policies and procedures necessary for daily operations in the absence of Store Leadership.
Job Responsibilities- Commit to the mission of Shoot Point Blank by promoting responsible firearm ownership and usage through an engaged, honest, and knowledgeable team effort.
- Provide outstanding customer service dedicated to exceeding expectations and fostering lasting relationships.
- Greet customers and facilitate the customer experience.
- Facilitate cross‑selling of complimentary products.
- Inform customers of services, discounts, special offers, sales, and promotions.
- Meet or exceed sales goals and all personal and store metric goals.
- Answer customer questions regarding product pricing, features, and availability.
- Assist with maintaining the store’s visual objectives and housekeeping standards by restocking, straightening merchandise, and ensuring overall store appearance and cleanliness meet company standards.
- Produce the daily required documents including the 4473 forms, daily gun counts, serial audits, position schedule, range, classroom, and course needs.
- Manage store software to create merchandise labels and stay up to date on daily store sales (actual vs. goals).
- Conduct store opening and closing procedures including cleanliness, register setup, reconciliation, and store security.
- Ensure all proper firearm safety rules are followed.
- Ensure range maintenance takes place to keep lanes functioning; relay repair needs to the manager when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with all involved government agencies including 4473 and background check processes during the firearm sales process.
- Stay up to date on new products that customers have interest in.
- Core values:
Curious, Passionate, Honest, Adaptable, Confident, High School Diploma or equivalent required. - 1–2 years of customer service sales experience, preferably within a specialty retail environment.
- Ability to understand, recall, and follow complex compliance regulations and handle highly confidential information.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule and hours necessary to open and/or close the store, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Effective communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and meet their needs.
