LSI, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a public company focused on advanced lighting, graphics, and display solutions. The company is seeking a Product Specialist for its corporate location.

The Product Specialist will serve the product marketing function, developing expertise in all operational and marketing aspects of the product. The role supports sales, technical support, commercial activities, forecasting, sales reporting, and quoting processes.

• Strategic
  • Drive and action new product opportunities.
  • Manage product line portfolio roadmaps with the manager.
  • Identify and evaluate organic growth strategies.
  • Use VOC (Voice of Customer) tools to understand customer technology needs and tailor solutions.
  • Develop forward‑looking product plans for profitable growth.
  • Analyze competitors and products to support sales and development.
  • Conduct fact‑based analysis of market trends, competitive data, technology advancements, customer needs, and new product developments.
• Tactical
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Product
  • Commercialize new or existing products and implement marketing plans that drive growth.
  • Understand product technology applications to address customer needs.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and events.
  • Support product launches and improvements.
  • Provide technical input to Commercial Marketing as needed.
  • Lead on product‑related problem solving.
  • Interact with sales to enhance product knowledge and increase revenues and high‑value engagements.
  • Present product lines to customers, agents, distributors, contractors, architects, and designers.
  • Provide technical and sales support, including training, to local sales representatives.
  • Communicate product value propositions and develop sales tools, including competitive analysis and sales guides.
• Internal Business Requirements
  • Prepare product demand forecasts to support market‑share goals and the S&OP process.
  • Communicate market developments to management and internal teams.
  • Support Operations with systemic product issues related to quality, supply, or design.
  • Present to internal groups such as executive teams, customer service, and sales.

• 1–3 years of product marketing experience.
• BS Degree Preferred (Marketing, Engineering, or other Technical Degree).
• Experience in commercialization of new or existing products.
• Lighting industry experience or understanding.
• Experience with agent, distribution, contractor, or specifier networks.
• Self‑starter with initiative to drive change.
• Analytical mindset focused on overcoming barriers and reaching future customers.
• Strong influence and communication skills for internal and external audiences.
