Data Engineer

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Blue Ash, OH (In‑person). The ideal candidate must have strong experience with Python, Azure, distributed data processing, and enterprise data pipeline engineering in an Agile environment.

Rate Range: $53.03/hour to $68.18/hour

• Develop distributed data processing and multi‑step transformation pipelines using modern data engineering tools and Python.
• Build automated data quality checks, observability alerts, and monitoring for production data pipelines.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code resources, and automated deployment workflows.
• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing while maintaining and improving existing applications.
• Collaborate with teams in Agile ceremonies, provide mentoring, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, including SQL, Python frameworks, and distributed computing (PySpark/Snowpark).
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, Git/Git Hub, PyTest, and object‑oriented programming.
• Experience with data observability, data quality processes, debugging enterprise apps, and SOLID/Agile principles.
• Experience with Java and Spring Framework, infrastructure‑as‑code concepts, and dependency management (Conda, venv, etc.).

Pay Details: $53.03 to $68.18 per hour
