Mailroom Clerk

Job Summary

Full-time Mailroom Clerk position located at Johnson & Johnson, 4545 Creek Road, Blue Ash, OH 45242. The role includes processing all mail and distribution services, maintaining records, handling hazardous materials, and interacting with customers. Pay is $17.00 per hour, with a Monday‑Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

• Receive, sort, deliver, pick up, and process courier items, interoffice mail, magazines, and all classes of U.S. Postal Services (USPS) mail.
• Verify and maintain records for incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
• Track courier and accountable items (Fed Ex, UPS, Certified Mail, etc.).
• Properly package, mark, label, and process all non-hazardous and hazardous materials using courier‑specific software (Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, etc.).
• Research and route unidentified and generic mail.
• Coordinate, stage, and transport bulk mail items.
• Receive, log, deliver, and track messenger items.
• Follow all client standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor packages for hazardous and suspicious materials.
• Follow established customer inquiry processes and respond to customer needs and requests.
• Maintain accurate records of customer inquiries and fulfillment of requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant prior customer service experience.
• Preferred current Dangerous Goods shipping certificate (49 CFR & IATA).
• Preferred working knowledge of domestic and international shipping of dangerous and non-hazardous goods, including country-specific guidelines.
• Preferred experience using shipping software required by common carriers (UPS, DHL, Fed Ex).
